Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, in partnership with the Utah Friends of Paleontology, Grand Staircase Partners, the Glen Canyon Natural History Association and the Utah Museum of Natural History, present "Advances in Western Interior Late Cretaceous Geology and Paleontology," a conference to be held in conjunction with the 8th Conference on Fossil Resources (www.8cfr.org). Researchers are encouraged to present any research related to Late Cretaceous geology and paleontology of the Western Interior of North America. Oral and poster presentations will both be accepted. Papers with a south-central Utah theme will be considered for inclusion in a book to be published by Indiana University Press in 2010.
The meeting is to be held at the Dixie Center in beautiful St. George, Utah, in the heart of beautiful red rock country on the 22nd and 23rd of May, with post-meeting field trips on the 24th. Hotel rooms have been blocked out at a special 25% discount rate. See the main conference website below for more information.
